You are on Windows, and this release has no Windows installer attached yet — so there is nothing here to install for it this minute. The button turns itself on as soon as one ships; the Mac build is unaffected.

First sign-in
Sign in, then two switches
The same account as on this site — your credits and your documents are already on it. Then macOS asks its questions one at a time, and the app says what each one is for. These two decide whether Supace can do its job at all. Nothing is requested quietly, and nothing else is installed alongside it.

Run the installer. It never asks for an administrator.
Supace installs for your account only, so Windows has no reason to show the blue administrator prompt. You can point it at a different folder, and it puts a Supace shortcut on your desktop.

If something doesn't work
The things that actually go wrong.
“Supace is damaged and can't be opened.”
This should not happen — the build is notarised and the check runs before the first launch. If you do see it, the download was interrupted: delete the app, empty the Trash and fetch the disk image again. A half-transferred file fails the signature check, and macOS reports that as “damaged”.
The app opens but hears nothing
The first permission is missing, or it was granted while the app was already running. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, switch Supace on, then quit and reopen the app — macOS only applies this one on a fresh start. On Windows there is no such switch: if it stays silent there, the call is coming out of a different output device than the one Windows reports as the default.
Keyboard shortcuts don't respond
Grant Accessibility under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Without it macOS blocks shortcuts from reaching an app that is not in front — which is every shortcut that matters here.
Will it show up if I share my screen?
No. When you share your screen, the panel is not part of what goes out — Zoom, Teams and Meet never receive it, and it stays out of the recording too. It is of course on your own display, and a phone camera pointed at your screen still sees it.
Windows warns me about the installer
First check that the file is the signed one: right-click it, open Properties → Digital Signatures, and look for a valid entry. If it is there, this is the file published here. A certificate that is still new can be unfamiliar to Microsoft SmartScreen for a while — that is a statement about the certificate's age, not about the file, and choosing More info shows the publisher name. If there is no signature at all, the download was interrupted or it did not come from this page; delete it and fetch it again.
